Often, it is a caregiver who steps in when the public care system ends, all to provide the care recipient with a good life. In fact, about 75% of all care provided in Sweden is performed by a caregiver. We believe that this is fundamentally a positive thing, as long as it is voluntary, but it should be accompanied by support from society. Helping, supporting, or caring for a family member, relative, or friend in need should not have negative consequences for one&#8217;s own health and life situation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anh\u00f6rigas Riksf\u00f6rbund is a politically and religiously independent interest organization that works to ensure that caregivers have favorable conditions to support their loved ones. At the same time, we want to ensure that caregivers themselves have the opportunity to live a good life. Society should not exploit people&#8217;s love, sense of responsibility, and goodwill.
