ProLivskvalitet is a non-profit support association for men who have been affected by prostate cancer in Western and Northern Sk\u00e5ne.<\/span><\/p>\n

How does it feel to be affected?<\/span><\/p>\n

Receiving the news that you have prostate cancer is a life-changing event. The word “cancer” has a fateful sound for many, and few diagnoses are as shockingly perceived as the news of having been struck by cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, our objective is to be a support for affected men and their close ones!<\/span><\/p>\n

With us, you can get help to sort out many chaotic thoughts and feelings around your situation, and our goal is simply that you should have a better quality of life. This is what we in the association want to achieve by, among other things:<\/span><\/p>\n

Give you the opportunity to speak with or meet other people who have been treated for prostate cancer and who can share their experiences and knowledge about the disease and treatment methods. The more knowledge you gain about the disease and your new situation, the safer you can feel. Thereby, you can strengthen your self-confidence and better participate in your discussions with the healthcare.<\/span><\/p>\n

ProLivskvalitet is a member of the Prostate Cancer Federation, which:<\/span><\/p>\n

Works for national guidelines for care and treatment. Safeguards the interests of prostate cancer patients in society. Supports medical research and development. Monitors the issue of preventive health checks. Encourages easier contacts with healthcare and its principals.<\/span><\/p>\n
