The Swedish OCD Association is a nationwide non-profit organization founded in 1989 with the aim to support people with personal experience of OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) and/or OCD-related conditions and their relatives, and to work for better support and understanding from society for these people.
The Association works to increase knowledge about OCD among the general public, healthcare providers, educational providers, authorities and organizations and strives to disseminate information about effective and scientifically documented treatment forms and support measures to these groups.
We do this, among other things, by publishing the magazine “News about OCD”, arranging information meetings and lectures, participating in newspapers, radio and TV, building up local departments and associations, facilitating contacts between members, and facilitating contacts with certified behavioural therapists and specialists in psychiatry.
